Kayla Hales is a Ph.D. candidate and Bunton-Waller Fellow in The Pennsylvania State University's College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST). She is also a member of the interdisciplinary Center for the Information Society (CIS) in IST. Ms. Hales is originally from the Bronx, New York. She earned a B.S. in Information Technology (focusing on communication with a minor in management) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. She has been actively involved in cultural, technical, professional, and community service based organizations.
