Research Interests
Creating and designing machine learning and text/data mining techniques for real emerging problems in Web Search, Information Retrieval, Information Extraction and Social Networks.
Currently, I am studying citation contexts in research papers with the goal of recommending citations for new manuscripts working in the CiteSeerX project, collaborating very closely with Dr. Jian Pei and Dr. Daniel Kifer. A Citation Recommendation Demo can be found online. The talk slides of citation recommedantion is available now.
I am also interested in large scaled social network analysis and real time search. I am working with Dr. Qiankun Zhao, Dr. Jianshu Weng and Miss Yuan Tian on these problems. However, recently many kinds of bubble-based methods can be found in this area. Can we achieve beyond them?
Past collaborators include Dr. Arindam Banerjee, Dr. Steven Chu-Hong HOI, Dr. Hao Wang, Dr. Jun Zhang.
